Books on How to Make Cocktails
Bitters have a lot of great uses, but let's be honest, the best part is making a great tasting cocktail with your own DIY bitters that your friends and family will love. After we create a batch of bitters, we spend a lot of time experimenting and creating different types of cocktails to see what works best. Here at the Bitters Club we call them "Cocktail Lab Sessions". We invite over a bunch of thirsty friends and other bartenders or mixologists and start crafting away. Having a group of 6 people or smaller are ideal, that way you get a good sample of opinions without having to make too many drinks. Remember to have a dedicated driver or call for a Uber/taxi to take everyone home safely.
We wanted to take some time and share what cocktail recipe books we keep on our bookshelf and regularly use for inspiration. We will be diving a bit more into crafting cocktails in future blog posts, but to us a cocktail recipe book is nothing more than just another tool to help drive innovation and creativity. Some books are simple while other are more advanced, calling for more sophisticated techniques. The goal is to have fun while you learn, so start simple then work your way towards the mixology side of things when you are ready.
If you are looking for cocktail recipe books, these books will provide you with a wealth of knowledge.
